Pizza is a culinary masterpiece that surpasses borders and brings people together with a slice. This heavenly combination is made of dough, tomato sauce, gooey cheese, and endless mouthwatering toppings, baked to perfection in a piping hot oven. Let me tell you, Houstonians are not just fans of pizza; they are downright fanatics!

You’ll find it all in H-Town, whether you’re craving a classic Margherita, a loaded meat lover’s delight, or something adventurous like barbecue chicken or pineapple and jalapeño. With a flexible culinary scene that embraces flavors from around the globe, Houstonians have embraced pizza with open arms (and mouths!). So, if you ever find yourself hungry in Houston, pizza will curb your hunger. Following are some places you can try:

Coastline Pizzeria

Coastline-Pizzeria

Beware! Coastline Pizzeria can surpass your expectations as it did mine. This much variety can be hard to find in a pizzeria. We ordered four different types, and all were worth our money.
Besides, the pizza, the meatballs, and salmon cakes are worth mentioning here. We realized they deliver pizzas and are great at creating an atmosphere. And yes! The shared parking lot is their big plus.

Neighbors Pizza Bar

Neighbors-Pizza-Bar

The world’s greatest wine selection paired with hot slices of pizza. How does this combination sound to you? Neighbors Pizza Bar is all about it. It was fun to try a couple of slices with a fresh Margarita. You can also enjoy a jazz/fusion band night on Mondays. Which, in my book, is ground-breaking. Their wine room is by far the most appealing of all of the best pizza places in Houston, TX, I have visited. Five stars to the yummiest cheese and meat!

Gold Tooth Tony’s

Gold-Tooth-Tony

Fan of outdoor seating arrangements? This is the right place to land your feet. It is Located in the heart of Houston, TX. After appreciating their Urban chic and homeliness ambiance, I ordered a pizza with a chilled Margarita. The Detroit-style pizza was baked to perfection.

Another outstanding dish was the meatball pesto; you will forget the taste of a classic meatball sub and remember its juiciness. The decorations and electrical elements make the place lively for casual dinners, meetings, and even a solo pizza charade. So, Gold Tooth Tony’s is a must-try on my list.

Nonno’s

Nonnos

It’s time to catch the Pizza Hut vibes. It was a classic, vibrant place with décor and old arcade games. I would love to return for the music and vibes it offers. Although the parking lot was small, the free valet parking compensates for it. Their pizza was good, but the dough was too hard for my liking. But their mozzarella sticks are a must-try; I think its cheese pull can live up to every foodie’s expectation.

They have a great service model if you are going with a toddler or infant. A woman came with one, and I was happy to see their friendly staff get them seated immediately. Overall, it was a good experience; the only drawback is their busy schedule, and they do not take reservations. Reaching a few minutes before opening can help in avoiding inconvenience.

Luigi’s Pizzeria

Luigi-Pizzeria

I prefer calling Luigi’s Pizza a culinary heaven for pizza fans. The pizza was good, and the calzones were full of flavor. Luigi’s is not only about pizza; their wings were a showstopper. If we talk about the atmosphere, it is one of those spots where you can relax and eat with friends. Grading a pizza is not easy until you come across an outstanding one.
The crust, flavor, sauce, amount, and elasticity are all worth a five-star. The atmosphere is simple but gives you a homely feeling; it’s clean, quiet, and nothing too fancy or polished. A couple of tables with a TV to watch while enjoying pizza and drinks. In short, it is a great place to catch up and bond with friends you haven’t seen in a long while.

Antonio’ Flying Pizza

Antonio-Flying-Pizza

I love every place that’s cozy and quiet. Antonio’s Flying Pizza is one of those spots. Before we jump to the pizza, I will mention their service and staff. You can clearly see the reason they have been around for 50 years. I ordered a veal piccata, which was loaded and flavorful at the same time. If you love the romantic old Italian vibes, this place is just what you need.

The moment you enter the place, you will encounter a man flipping pizza in the air; the freshness of pizza, as soon as it hits your nostrils, you can find yourself roaming the streets of Naples, Italy. The Fettucini Alfredo was also top-tier. The sauce was smooth and spicy but not acidic. Definitely going back sometime for an Italian experience.

Pizza was born in Naples, but its popularity grew like wildfire over the decades. We Houstonians who love to embrace every food did not take much time to fall in love with this Italian delicacy. The warmth of this cheesy delight not only stays on one’s tongue but reaches the heart.

That’s why, if you are in Houston, don’t let Google Maps or Trip Advisor drive you crazy. The best pizza places in Houston, TX, we listed down for you are based on real experiences. So, get ready for an Italian adventure in a Texan state!
